Job Summary

Financial Controller for Equities: responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of general ledger and balance sheet for multiple lines of business, performing month-end close and consolidation activities, preparing primary financial statements for earnings releases and SEC filings, conducting variances analysis between GL and upstream systems, and driving process and control improvements. Collaborates with line of business controllers, middle office, business managers, technology, and operations to uphold accounting policies and enhance the control framework. Requires understanding end-to-end trading activity flow, booking models, product configurations, and accurate application of accounting policies; strong analytical, communication, and spreadsheet skills are essential. Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience in financial reporting and GL accounting are required. Location: Newark, DE, USA; on-site role.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3+ years of related experience
  • Understanding of financial products
  • General Ledger accounting experience
  • Experience with financial reporting and month end close responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain partnerships within finance and operations teams
  • Ability to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues
