Job Summary
Develop and execute organized test plans to qualify Firmware and Hardware for product releases on bare-metal STM32 microcontrollers. Write clear test scenarios, cases, and plans while running automation suites to debug, analyze results, and track defects. Communicate QA concerns in cross-functional meetings and provide end-user feedback to improve the customer experience. Collaborate with development teams and contract manufacturers in Asia to recreate firmware/software bugs and ensure high-quality releases. This role focuses on consumer-grade creative cutting machines and small appliances, requiring expertise in USB, Bluetooth, BLE, and Wi-Fi protocols alongside motor control systems. Candidates must demonstrate strong programming skills in C/C++, Swift, Dart, and Python, along with the ability to leverage AI for innovation. The position is in-office five days per week, emphasizing face-to-face collaboration within a diverse, creative team building high-quality products.
Required Qualifications
- deep understanding of firmware, hardware and software development life cycle
- experience with a variety of testing techniques

- Experience working in a technical development team
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test scenarios, test cases and test plans
- Experience in executing test cases, debugging & analyzing results, reporting & tracking defects, and providing updates to stakeholders
- Good knowledge of USB, Bluetooth classic, BLE, and Wi-Fi communication protocols
- Good experience in microcontrollers, DC motors (Steppers and Servos), and motor drivers
- Some experience with sensing, sampling, and feedback control systems
- Some experience in testing USB/wireless device software/apps on Windows and Mac
- Intermediate or higher programming experience in Swift, Dart, C/C++ and Python
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to communicate project plans with contract manufacturers in Asia
- Able to create procedures and provide information for recreating firmware/software bugs
- Familiarity with using Windows, Mac, iOS and Linux operating systems
- Understanding of how to use interactive shells languages for Windows and Mac
- This position is eligible for relocation assistance within the United States
