Job Summary

Lead firmware development projects by applying structured project management practices and continuous improvement principles. Define technical direction for architecture design, qualification planning, and platform development while developing assembly and test specifications aligned with quality standards. Ensure regulatory compliance by partnering with design teams and collaborate with supply partners to support product innovation. Provide leadership updates on project progress, risks, and opportunities while supporting team members through coaching and resource planning. Investigate product quality concerns with customers and internal teams, driving process improvements to enhance efficiency. Contribute as a subject matter expert by researching advanced concepts to address complex challenges.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or any related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role within firmware or embedded systems development
  • Strong knowledge of embedded firmware design, microcontrollers, or digital signal controllers (such as ARM-based or similar platforms)
  • Experience with system integration testing and validation practices
  • Familiarity with networking and industrial communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet, or fieldbus technologies
  • Experience working in collaborative development environments using iterative or Agile approaches
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites or customer locations as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Expertise in embedded systems architecture and firmware design
  • Experience leading global, cross-functional technical teams
  • Knowledge of program or project management practices
  • Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems development
  • Experience with communication interfaces such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, or CAN
  • Exposure to real-time operating systems or state machine-based architectures
  • Familiarity with industrial IoT, cybersecurity principles, or secure firmware design
  • Understanding of power electronics or firmware integration in power systems
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git
  • Awareness of web-based technologies used in embedded or industrial environments
  • Interest or exposure to emerging technologies such as AI
