Job Summary
Lead and mentor firmware engineers to develop hard real-time systems for safety-critical electric power applications. Manage project plans, break down backlogs, and execute design documentation while collaborating across disciplines to clear blockers. Guide the team through requirements gathering, testing, and debugging using C, C++, and RTOS, ensuring adherence to Agile processes and SEL values. Supervise hiring and performance metrics to drive world-class engineering practices. Located in Pullman, WA, this role offers competitive pay ranging from $136,100 to $201,100, full ESOP ownership, and extensive benefits including 12 days of vacation and tuition assistance.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in embedded/firmware development
- Knowledge in the following areas: Programming languages: C, C++
- Software development including: Object oriented design
- Unit testing
- Debugging
- RTOS
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Software development process (Agile)
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL
- Negative drug test result(s)
