Job Summary
Write optimized C/C++ firmware for TI C2000 microcontrollers, implementing real-time control loops, configuring high-resolution PWMs, and developing low-level drivers for CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART interfaces. Configure fault detection and protection routines to safeguard hardware components. Test and validate firmware on physical hardware using JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers. Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize power conversion and ensure system reliability for next-generation power inverters. Based in Allen, Texas, this role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of embedded firmware experience.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Candidates must have permanent work authorization in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development for power electronics.
- Proven experience programming TI C2000 DSCs using Code Composer Studio (CCS) and C2000Ware.
- Deep understanding of power inverter operations, switching topologies, and digital control theory.
- Experience utilizing the C2000 Control Law Accelerator (CLA) or Trigonometric Math Unit (TMU) for parallel processing.
- This is not a remote position.
- Location: Allen, Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth area).
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with functional safety standards like ISO 26262 or IEC 61508.
- Knowledge of dual-core architecture programming and inter-processor communication (IPC).
