Job Summary
Develop firmware for hardware devices, including edge optimization, and design, code, and test sub-systems for high-performance functionality on constrained hardware. Write code across the full embedded stack from bootloader to application firmware, manage RTOS porting and maintenance, and build components that integrate with the broader Lunar system. Drive design discussions on system architecture and collaborate on code reviews while supporting system test, reliability, and manufacturing teams with debugging. Review performance data from internal and external test sites. This role requires 5+ years of experience in C, bare-metal systems, and power electronics firmware, with a competitive salary range of $180,000-$210,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing and architecting software, with exposure to the full lifecycle from prototype to production
- Experience developing C in bare-metal systems and/or RTOS
- Experience implementing power electronics firmware control functionality
- Ability to integrate hardware and software to develop end-to-end solutions
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team where individual initiative and contributions have a big impact
- Able to contribute in a multi-disciplinary team following modern software engineering practices (e.g. Git, continuous integration)
