Firestop Technician Installer

Firestop Technician Installer needed for a full-time role in a lab environment at the Fire Test Lab in Central Houston. Responsibilities include installing firestop assemblies per test plans and UL standards, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand and power tools, working with drywall, mineral wool, sealants, pipe insulation, and metal framing, setting up/breaking down test frames and fire-rated assemblies, maintaining documentation for each test, collaborating with lab engineers to evaluate and improve systems, and conducting research using UL directory and internal/industry references. Must follow lab safety protocols and be able to operate in a loud warehouse/lab setting with occasional heavy lifting. Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are required. Preferred: experience in carpentry, drywall, firestopping, or insulation installation. Proximity to Houston and ability to perform on-site work are noted in role.
