Job Summary
As a Fireproofing Applications Technician, you will apply intumescent and cementitious fireproofing products accurately while maintaining high-quality standards. You will be responsible for setting up and operating spray equipment for demonstrations and training, ensuring top-tier quality of all panels, and maintaining and repairing various specialized tools and equipment. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, ability to manage panel orders, and proactive approach to safety and compliance. Collaboration on product evaluations and hazard recognition is also essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must pass annual respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test
- Skilled in operating, repairing, and maintaining equipment
- Comfortable working with a variety of chemicals and materials
Desired Qualifications
- 2-year college Chemistry
- 7–10 years of experience in Painting
- Applications experience
- Technical Service experience
Additional Requirements
- Must pass annual respirator medical evaluation and pulmonary function test per OSHA standards; respirator use required at least 40% of the time
