Job Summary
Teach concepts related to boiler operations and boiler parts and functions to students. Review terminology for the State exam and provide practice exams to prepare students for the NJ Black Seal Low Pressure Boiler Operator exam. Guide students and provide feedback on how to fill out paperwork for the DOL exam. Maintain and submit records of attendance and maintain ongoing communication with the supervisor. Participate in relevant professional development activities as available. Classes are held Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Bergen County Technical Schools in Hackensack, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Teaching experience
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and written
- One of these: Black Seal/Blue Seal License/Third class Engineer License
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with students from a variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to use digital platforms to instruct, communicate, and record program data
- Record of completed COVID-19 vaccine or confirmed medical/religious exemption
- Compliance with current COVID-19 protocols of the organization
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
