Job Summary
Respond to emergency fire scenes and assist with fire suppression using appropriate extinguishing agents. Operate fire equipment, drive fire apparatus, and conduct search and rescue, ventilation, and salvage operations. Perform fire safety, home safety, and pre-fire planning inspections. Collaborate professionally with allied health personnel, public safety agencies, and fellow firefighters. Participate in community programs to maintain company image and establish strong community relations. Full-time local schedule with annual compensation up to $60,000. Requires State issued BOF certification, Registered EMT-P certification, ACLS, and AHA CPR/AED.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Driver's License
- State issued (IL) BOF certification
- State issued or National Registered EMT-P certification
- Current ACLS certification required if applicant is an EMT-P
- Current AHA CPR/AED certification
