Firefighter/ Paramedic

Firefighter/ Paramedic is a full-time position in the Fire/EMS department with a 48-hour shift schedule at Station 1, 2, and 3 (Float). The role requires firefighting, rescue, emergency medical care, and adherence to department protocols while performing duties under emergency conditions. Responsibilities include operating firefighting equipment, delivering prehospital advanced life support, participating in fire prevention and community safety programs, responding to alarms, maintaining apparatus and facilities, and may involve specialized training and certification requirements. The position is safety sensitive and involves working in hazardous, high-stress environments with physical exertion and exposure to environmental hazards. The incumbent must perform duties as a Paramedic according to SOPs and may be assigned other duties by supervisors.
