Job Summary
Respond to on-track fires, extinguish flames, and perform salvage operations including throwing covers, sweeping water, and removing debris. Render assistance in emergency cases, clean and inspect equipment after incidents, and make minor repairs while maintaining records. Keep fire trucks and apparatus clean, orderly, and defect-free, reporting issues to EMS and Facilities Managers. Participate in training sessions and acquire thorough knowledge of the track layout, emergency districts, and hazards. Perform all duties in accordance with WGI safety policies, reporting unsafe conditions immediately. Requires valid driver's license, Fire Fighter One certification, and weekend availability. Seasonal April 17th through October 25th, with hours ranging from 8 to 40 per week.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Common sense, good judgment and the ability to think logically
- Reliability and punctuality
- Knowledge of the Weekday Safety Team Handbook
- Ability to work as a team member
- Reliable transportation to and from the track location
- Valid driver's license
- Fire Fighter One
- Required to work some weekends
