Firearms Specialist

Job Summary
Educate customers on firearm functionality, breaking down parts to explain how they work together, and teach safe usage techniques. Recommend products and assist with finding, ordering, and completing all required local, state, and federal paperwork for sales. Operate the Point of Sale and DNR licensing systems while ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local laws to protect the store's FFL status. Build planograms in the Sport & Outdoor section and manage merchandise receiving, returns, and service policies. Maintain a politically neutral stance during all customer interactions and promote company loyalty programs and credit card initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Team Members who handle or sell firearms must be 18 years of age or older
- be able to possess a firearm under the Gun Control Act 18 USC 922(g)
- pass a background check
- be trained on firearms sales and safety
- must comply with all applicable state, federal, and local laws and regulations with respect to the sale, storage, and safe handling of firearms
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of previous firearm sales or related experience
