Job Summary

Greet customers on the sales floor with courtesy, grow personal sales by hitting minimum goals, and promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card. Engage in conversation to assist customers in making buying decisions and demonstrate a passion for store products. Attend all Scheels product training and store meetings, maintain a professional appearance, and assist with assigned duties including freight and stocking when needed. Perform basic math computations and retrieve products from heights greater than 6 ft. Work assigned schedules between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, with Saturday and Sunday hours available, averaging 20-25 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-3 months of sales experience
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math, grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Must be willing to help with freight/stocking when needed
  • Ability to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft
  • Must be available a minimum of three weekends a month
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
