Job Summary
Instruct USCCA or NRA-sanctioned firearm classes and conduct one-on-one sessions with customers. Lead safety briefings, teach range procedures, and ensure public ranges operate safely. Maintain a clean range environment, perform heavy lifting, and assist with range maintenance. Work as a Range Safety Officer for 1-3 days weekly on indoor and outdoor ranges while earning commissions on private lessons. Requires extensive firearm experience, certification, and ability to stand or lift up to 50 lbs. Weekend availability is mandatory for this part-time role.
Required Qualifications
- Certified instructor through USCCA or NRA
- Extensive firearm experience
- Firearm safety knowledge
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for a period of time
- Weekend availability
