Fire Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Specialist (Fire Fighting)

Job Summary
Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on specialized fire vehicles and all fire equipment, completing daily checks and repairs to maintain serviceability per manufacturer specifications. Maintain records of all assets, manage stock and inventory for audit purposes, and ensure compliance with road traffic and RSAF regulations while keeping all hydraulic, pneumatic tools, hoses, ladders, and SCBA units clean and operational. Serve as a technical expert providing work direction to the operations team and execute replacement plans as needed. Licensed to drive specialized fire vehicles with at least 10 years of experience in fire service maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Skilled in mechanical and electrical maintenance on fire fighting vehicles and equipment
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a fire service vehicle and equipment maintenance capacity
- Considerable knowledge of gasoline and diesel engines, fire vehicles, fire pumps and all fire equipment to include SCBA equipment and SCBA compressor
- Thorough knowledge of the methods, tools, and equipment used in the repair of specialized Fire Vehicles and Equipment
- Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, and safety regulations related to the operation and repair of vehicle and equipment
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively in English, either verbally, written or using electronic media
- Familiar with NFPA, ICAO, IFSTA procedures and regulations
- Familiar with ARFF and structural fire vehicle pumps and operations
- Licensed to drive and operate specialized fire vehicles
