Job Summary
Fire Truck Diesel Mechanic who inspects, diagnoses, and repairs diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and air systems on fire trucks and ambulances; performs preventative maintenance; documents repairs and parts usage; maintains a clean, safe work area in a Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. schedule with potential overtime; must have diesel mechanic experience (preferably heavy duty or emergency vehicles) and a valid driver’s license; located in Colfax/Greensboro area, NC; shop-based with occasional field/outdoor work; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, PTO from day 1, tool allowance, and boot reimbursement; OSHA safety standards adherence.
Required Qualifications
- Diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
