Job Summary
Entry-level Fire Protection Technician (FPT) for HFRC, LLC in Medford, NJ, focusing on inspection, testing, and maintenance of foam systems, water-based fire protection systems, hydrant and pump testing, and related equipment; supports engineers and consultants in emergency response assessments and investigations; requires hands-on field capability, basic report preparation, and collaboration with clients and subcontractors. Travel and field readiness are part of the role; remote work is not an option.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Minimum 3 years firefighting (municipal or industrial) or fire protection equipment testing experience
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Good math skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and code officials
- Ability to work under supervision and manage multiple tasks
- Team-oriented with mechanical aptitude and dexterity
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on uneven surfaces
- Ability to wear PPE and endure weather/physical conditions
- Travel 25-30% annually; US travel with possible overseas assignments
- Valid driver’s license; DOT medical clearance within 30 days; passport within 3 months (where applicable)
- Drug screening and background checks; cannabis policy adherence
- Ability to obtain TWIC within 90 days (where applicable)
- Possess/obtain CDL preferred
