Job Summary
Inspect and test Fire Alarm and Sprinkler systems to ensure proper functionality, documenting any deficiencies and explaining system operation to customers. Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers while adhering to all safety regulations and Koorsen policies. Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications using electronic testing devices, and utilize general hand and power tools safely. Maintain a valid driver's license and meet state licensing or vendor certification requirements. Complete background screenings, drug tests, and I-9 verification within three days. Work 7:00 am to 3:45 pm, Monday through Friday, while climbing ladders up to 40 feet and lifting up to 75 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 Years Mechanical skills or electrical skills
- Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications
- Experience with electronic testing devices
- Pass drug and background screenings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications
- Valid driver's license
- Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools
- Lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs
- Push and pull more significantly than 75 lbs
- Climb a ladder to a height of at least 12 feet
- Use a man lift
- Reach heights exceeding 40 feet
- Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises
- Required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Complete the I-9 Verification form within three days
- Verify employment eligibility via E-Verify
- Background checks with criminal courts, state and county repositories of criminal records, and the Department of Motor Vehicles
- Test for Evidence of Substance Abuse by urinalysis test
Desired Qualifications
- Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, Security experience
- Fire Alarm Manufacturer's Certifications
- OH Fire Alarm License
- OH Backflow License
- NICET
- Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of IT functionality
- NICET certification
