Job Summary
Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and project information to identify the required scope of work. Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor and material estimates using established company standards and estimating software. Research equipment, pricing, and product information to assist with obtaining vendor or subcontractor quotations. Prepare estimate files, proposal support documents, bid notes, and related project records while tracking bid deadlines. Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Drafting, and Operations to ensure estimates are complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements. Participate in training on fire alarm, security, access control, video surveillance, applicable codes, and estimating procedures. This entry-level opportunity within SSD Alarm's Estimating and Engineering team in Sherman, TX, supports our growth in integrated security and fire solutions.
