Job Summary
Manage and develop certification schemes for fire suppression products, delivering high-quality product evaluation and achieving commercial targets. Plan, prioritize, and supervise work to ensure timely processing of certification applications and technical report reviews. Provide authoritative input on technical, regulatory, and procedural issues while maximizing fee-earning project utilization. Work remotely to support clients and scheme owners across various suppression systems, ensuring projects meet customer expectations and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience related to the certification or assessment of fire equipment / suppression systems
- Experience gained in Quality Management within a manufacturing environment, specifically within the areas of pressure equipment (e.g. pipes, valves), extinguishants (e.g. chemicals) or fire suppression equipment (e.g. extinguishers, hose reels, sprinkler systems, water mist, fire blankets)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- General knowledge of business principles and operating practices
- General level of IT literacy and capability of learning and adopting new systems
- Ability to work remotely as part of a team and to tight time scales
- Comfortable dealing with people at all levels throughout a business
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of ISO 17065 compliance requirements for certification
