Fire Suppression Technician

Job Summary
Technician responsible for providing inspections, selling, and servicing fire suppression components (fire extinguishers, kitchen hood fire suppression systems, emergency lights) with a focus on meeting weekly service and productivity goals. Maintains a clean, organized vehicle, adheres to safety procedures, learns applicable fire protection codes, obtains local/state Fire Equipment Certificate of Competency, and supports licensing efforts. Apprenticeship programs and opportunities for training and career advancement in fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and inspection tracks are offered. Customer service, selling, and effective communication are emphasized; comfortable working in a team environment and maintaining professional appearance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and a current and sustainable good driving record
- Satisfactory results in a company mandated criminal background check and drug test
- A strong work ethic and professional appearance
- Ability to sell, communicate effectively, and possess excellent customer service skills is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable inspection and servicing codes is a plus but not required.
- Prior experience in Fire Suppression is a strong plus but not required.
- An electrical background or a basic level of comfort and knowledge with electrical work is a plus.
- Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
