Job Summary
Inspect, test, recharge, assemble, install, maintain, and repair kitchen and industrial fire suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers in commercial and industrial settings. Ensure all work meets applicable NFPA and local code requirements while accurately documenting findings and communicating with customers. Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and professionally across your assigned territory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work on ladders or in tight or confined spaces
- One to three years of experience in fire suppression system service
Desired Qualifications
- Technical or industry related experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Interest in hands on technical work in the life safety or construction space
- Comfort using hand tools and other basic equipment
- Ability to learn more as you go
- Knowledge of NFPA 17A, 96, and other relevant fire protection codes
- Experience reading blueprints or simple drawings
- Experience using hand tools or machinery in a prior role
- Prior exposure to fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, or other life safety equipment
