Job Summary
Performs installation, inspection, testing, and documentation of fire sprinkler systems; lays out, fabricates, installs, and maintains piping; cuts, threads, bonds piping; replaces worn components; calculates material measurements; mentors helpers; conducts inspections (5-Year, Annual, Semi-Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, and Weekly); troubleshoots system issues and recommends resolutions; uses tablet/PDA for field documentation; communicates with clients and internal teams; adheres to safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Advanced technical school training or related work experience preferred
- 1+ years of fire sprinkler experience highly preferred
- Working knowledge of hand tools, including electric and battery-powered equipment
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel preferred)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. repeatedly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- NICET certification (preferred)
- Experience inspecting fire sprinkler and backflow systems
- Knowledge of fire extinguisher inspection procedures and fire pump testing
- Experience with wet chemical and foam fire suppression systems
