Job Summary
Service, test, inspect, and troubleshoot wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems while performing routine maintenance and repairs. Identify code compliance issues, recommend fixes or upgrades, and document findings per NFPA standards. Coordinate service calls with contractors and building staff, then respond to emergency requests during on-call rotations. Follow all safety procedures and represent Encore professionally on active job sites. Hourly pay between $20.00 and $25.00 with a performance-based bonus opportunity. Full-time role with travel within assigned territory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Working knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, their components, and common tools used to service them
- Familiarity with NFPA codes and general fire protection standards
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and system drawings
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work at heights of 30 feet or more
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
- Experience operating lifts
- Understanding of OSHA safety practices
- Professional, team-oriented mindset
- Consistent focus on doing the job safely and correctly
- Three or more years of experience inspecting, servicing, or repairing fire sprinkler systems
- NICET certification in water-based systems inspection, testing, or layout
- Experience handling both routine inspections and more complex repair work
- Known for catching issues early, explaining them clearly to customers, and following through until they are fixed
