Job Summary
Fire Sprinkler Systems Technician 5 at Johnson Controls will perform installation of fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial and industrial applications, and service/troubleshoot wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems and fire pumps. The role requires reading complex construction blueprints and specifications, handling equipment up to 60 pounds, and working in positions such as climbing ladders or scaffolding up to 40 feet. The candidate should be able to work alternative shifts or weekends, maintain safety, and complete time reports and related documents. Preferred qualifications include NICET certification and sprinkler/backflow licensure.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in the industry
- Working knowledge of wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems, and fire pump
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Must have a clean driving record
