Job Summary
Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Level II responsible for inspecting, testing, servicing, and repairing fire sprinkler systems per NFPA 25; troubleshoot and repair, document findings, maintain equipment/vehicle, and discuss deficiencies with customers. Role may require night/weekend/holiday work, travel to customer locations, and lifting equipment; requires knowledge of NFPA 25, NFPA 13 series, and relevant state/local codes. Ideal candidates have NICET II in water-based systems and a state license. Strong emphasis on safety, customer interaction, and adherence to company standards.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of water-based fire protection systems layout core and related work experience; at least 12 months of core water-based fire protection systems layout experience including NFPA 13D/13R/13 layout and standpipe systems; field surveys for NFPA 13D/13R/13 systems; detailing for other types of systems
- 1 year of related experience credit may be granted for specified experience areas
- 6 months of related experience credit may be granted for 3 years of experience in specified areas
- ability to calculate basic math incl. fractions, decimals, percentages
- ability to operate basic computer functions and industry software
- valid U.S. driver's license
- NICET II Certification in water-based systems (IDEAL)
- State license in relevant state (IDEAL)
- Compliance with safety program and physical requirements
- Overtime travel may be required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Driving is required
