Job Summary
Fire Sprinkler Inspector needed to perform field inspections of fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems in Central Arkansas (Little Rock area). Responsibilities include inspecting wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems for compliance; tripping, observing, and resetting dry valves and recording pressures; conducting water flow and main drain tests; operating and maintaining sprinkler valves; verifying monitoring station communication; completing tests and generating inspection reports; ensuring NFPA, AHJ, and company standards; collaborating with a team of inspectors; and communicating findings to customers. Must have high school diploma or GED, NICET Level I or 2+ years experience, valid driver’s license, strong verbal/written communication, ability to read construction documents, basic Microsoft Office skills, knowledge of NFPA standards, ability to inspect/test pumps, and preferred backflow certification and 3–5 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- NICET Level I certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems or 2+ years equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and fire sprinkler inspection procedures
- Ability to inspect and test fire pumps (diesel and electric)
- Experience inspecting foam systems preferred
- Backflow certification
- 3–5 years of fire sprinkler experience
