Job Summary
Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines. Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections, documenting deficiencies, representing the company professionally, completing service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding via devices, maintaining a structured inspection schedule, and performing minor repairs and programming changes to systems. Requires enrollment in Grinnell's approved Apprenticeship Program, willingness to travel, physical labor, and ability to read blueprints and schematics. HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $23.51 - $32.31. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- NICET I certification or ability to obtain within 8 months of hire
- NICET II certification or ability to obtain within 24 months of hire
- Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State and Local codes
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and manuals
- Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage
- Ability to perform physical labor (carrying/moving equipment up to 50-70 lbs)
- Ability to work in difficult positions (climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift)
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call, nights, weekends
- Willing to travel out of town
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
