Fire Sprinkler Inspector

Job Summary
Service, test, inspect, and troubleshoot wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems with a focus on reliability and code compliance. Perform routine maintenance and repairs, identify issues requiring upgrades, and document findings in line with NFPA standards. Coordinate service calls with contractors and building staff while responding to emergency requests via on-call rotations. This field-based role requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 pounds and work at heights up to 30 feet, and familiarity with blueprints and OSHA safety practices. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Working knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, their components, and common tools used to service them
- Familiarity with NFPA codes and general fire protection standards
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and system drawings
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work at heights of 30 feet or more
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
- Experience operating lifts
- Understanding of OSHA safety practices

Desired Qualifications
- Technical or industry related experience
- Three or more years of experience inspecting, servicing, or repairing fire sprinkler systems
- NICET certification in water-based systems inspection, testing, or layout
- Experience handling both routine inspections and more complex repair work
- Known for catching issues early, explaining them clearly to customers, and following through until they are fixed
