Job Summary
The Field Technician (Inspector) tests, repairs, and inspects fixed fire protection systems and documents deficiencies. Responsibilities include scheduling inspections, documenting inspections for Eagle Fire records and authorities, communicating discrepancies to customers, maintaining certifications/licenses, and performing related duties. Requires NICET certification, 4+ years’ experience in fire sprinkler service/inspection, ability to read diagrams/blueprints, fluent English, valid driver’s license, and ability to travel; must handle standing, lifting, bending, and working in extreme temperatures while using measuring instruments and gauges.
Required Qualifications
- NICET certification
- 4+ years of industry experience
- Fire Sprinkler Service/Inspection experience
- Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications
- Able to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Has practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards
- Excellent customer service skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work alone
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record for last 5 years
- Able to travel and stay out of town as needed
- Able to operate and efficiently use measuring instruments and gauges and assorted industry-related devices
- Able to work in extremely cold and extremely hot temperatures
- Able to work while exposed to loud sounds and noise levels
