Job Summary
Lead installation team on fire sprinkler systems and oversee field operations at Roanoke, VA site. Conduct daily site inspections for handling, storage, installation, and testing of materials; follow designed plans and communicate design changes to fit actual site requirements. Responsible for materials delivered to site, minor fabrication on site, and documenting change orders. Manage and coordinate a large job with multiple crews, conduct weekly safety meetings, ensure adherence to fire protection codes and standards, and maintain quality through clear written and verbal instructions. Requires 2-3 years of relevant experience, ability to read plans and documents, attention to detail, strong communication, and a drive for professional development. Industry-specific certifications (desirable: NICET test reimbursement, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, state fitters license) are noted as beneficial. This is a full-time, on-site role with company vehicle and benefits, located in Roanoke, Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- Two to three years of experience in installation of fire sprinkler systems, pipefitting, or fire protection codes and standards
- Proficient in following written and verbal instructions, with exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to establish productivity onsite and set goals for employees to meet deadlines
- Competent in reading plans, documents, and to discern colors for safety signage
- Eagerness for professional development and growth
- Ability to pass various background checks
- Reliable transportation, valid State Driver's License with acceptable driving record for use of company vehicle
