Fire Sprinkler Fitter

Job Summary
Install, assemble, and maintain fire sprinkler piping, fittings, and devices according to plans, NFPA standards, and company safety policies. Cut, thread, bend, and join pipes using hand and power tools while reading construction drawings and blueprints. Assist with pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of systems, coordinating with foremen and other trades to ensure schedule adherence. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas safely, following OSHA regulations and participating in ongoing training. Perform duties at active construction and retrofit sites involving extended physical exertion, climbing, and working at heights.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1–5 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation or pipefitting
- knowledge of fire sprinkler installation practices and NFPA standards
- ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- strong mechanical aptitude
- hands-on skills
- NICET certification or trade-related training preferred
- Microsoft Office applications

- endurance for extended periods of repetitive movements and moderate physical exertion
- frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
- ability to climb ladders, stairs, or scaffolding and working at heights as needed
- manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment
- good visual and auditory acuity to safely handle inventory, read labels, and follow instructions
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- ability to tolerate working in varying environmental conditions, including temperature fluctuations
- overtime may be required
