Job Summary
Fire Sprinkler Designer Trainee responsible for reviewing construction contract documents and coordinating with subcontractors/GCs/owners to gather information to design project sprinkler systems; ensure NFPA standards and local/national codes are met according to project documents; collaborate with sales to provide technical support and estimating guidance; requires 2+ years of fire sprinkler design experience, knowledge of fire protection systems and codes, NICET preferred, AutoSprink proficiency, and strong computer/communication skills; in-person work location in Aurora/Denver, CO with standard 8-hour M-F schedule; benefits include 401K/insurance/PTO and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design
- Knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems, fire protection regulatory standards, and state and local codes
- Technical understanding and knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems and components
- NICET certification preferred
- Proficiency in AutoSprink preferred
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service
