Job Summary
Design automatic fire sprinkler systems including wet, dry, preaction, and deluge configurations; develop complete system layouts, shop drawings, and submittal packages; perform hydraulic calculations in compliance with NFPA standards; coordinate with general contractors, engineers, and field installation teams; generate accurate material takeoffs and support estimating efforts; manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget requirements; produce construction documentation for AHJ approvals and field execution.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of fire sprinkler design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulic calculations and automatic sprinkler layout
- Experience producing submittals and construction documentation
- NICET Level II – Water-Based Systems Layout (WBSL)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Desired Qualifications
- NICET Level II – Water-Based Systems Layout (WBSL)
- NICET Level III (or actively working toward it)
- HydraCAD for Revit, HydraCalc, and HydraList
- BIM coordination experience
- Experience with AutoCAD
- MS Office Suite proficiency
- Proficiency in hydraulic calculations and automatic sprinkler layout
