Job Summary
Fire Sprinkler Designer / CAD Drafter to create designs using AutoCAD, prepare project drawings, specifications and schematics, ensure NFPA-compliant designs, and coordinate with project managers. Responsibilities include design layout, field checking, fabrication listing, material equipment submittals, calculations, installation requirements, and close-out procedures; ensure compliance with Federal, State and local codes; interact with customers, vendors and colleagues; proficient use of Microsoft Office; desk-based 8-hour workday; opportunities for advancement within a family-oriented protection company.
Required Qualifications
- CAD: 2 years
- Windows based AutoCAD design software: 2 years
- Microsoft Word: 2 years
- Microsoft Outlook: 2 years
- Fire / Life Safety Design: 1 - 2 years
