Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer

Job Summary
Model fire sprinkler systems using BIM tools, including Autodesk Revit, and coordinate wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge designs with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines. Prepare hydraulic calculations, detailed layouts, and engineering documentation ensuring compliance with NFPA, IBC, and IFC standards. Develop project scope of work documentation, review shop drawings, and expediting deliverables for mission-critical data center projects. Collaborate remotely with multidisciplinary teams on hyperscale facilities for global clients like Microsoft and Amazon. Submit resume in English detailing relevant experience for this long-term independent contractor engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (fire protection, mechanical, or related field)
- At least 4–5 years of experience in fire sprinkler/fire protection design
- Proven expertise in the design of fire sprinkler and suppression systems
- Strong understanding of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems
- Experience performing and reviewing hydraulic calculations
- Knowledge of applicable fire protection codes and standards, including NFPA, IBC, and IFC
- Hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit
- Written and spoken English B1 and higher
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize while meeting project deadlines
- Self-starter, ambitious, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Valid U.S. work visa considered an asset but not required
