Job Summary
Fire Service Technician sought to troubleshoot and repair Fire and Life Safety systems (conventional, addressable, voice systems, smoke control, and networked solutions) with hands-on programming via laptop, producing repair reports per NFPA for customer acceptance and billing. Candidate will contribute to maintaining system integrity, manage vehicle inventory/tools, and guide other technicians, leveraging strong customer-facing communication and adherence to NFPA 72 and OSHA standards. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, able to read drawings, and hold a valid driver’s license; NICET I certification and OSHA 10 are preferred or required, with experience in NFPA 72 and Article 760 knowledge. Required Qualifications
- NICET I Certification
- OSHA 10 Certification or ability to obtain
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
- Knowledge of NFPA 72 code requirements
- Knowledge of Article 760 of NFPA 70 (Electrical Code)
- Ability to read fire system design drawings
- Experience with troubleshooting and programming fire alarm systems using a laptop
- Experience with conventional and addressable fire alarm systems and networked solutions
- Ability to train and develop other service technicians
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
