Job Summary
Create building layouts, vertical schematics, aerial schematics, and on-arrival sheets for Fire Safety Plans using Affinity Designer or Adobe Creative Suite. Organise and prepare building plans for fire risk assessors ahead of site surveys, then convert assessor-marked drawings into simplified, easy-to-read layouts. Ensure critical building and fire safety information is displayed clearly for emergency responders while managing customer amendments, revisions, and plan updates. Produce printed plan sets, coordinate their distribution to customer sites, and maintain organised customer, building, and project files. Liaise with assessors, customers, and project teams to clarify information and resolve discrepancies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience using graphic design software such as Affinity Designer or Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience producing technical drawings, diagrams, plans, maps, or visual layouts
- The ability to interpret building plans and technical information
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A professional and customer-focused approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong digital file management and document control skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within the construction, property, facilities management, architecture, or fire safety sector
- Previous experience producing fire safety plans, building layouts, schematics, or emergency response information
- Knowledge of fire safety terminology or building fire safety systems
- Experience managing drawing revisions and document control processes
- Experience coordinating printed materials and customer deliveries
- A relevant design, technical, construction, or fire safety qualification
