Job Summary
Monitor facility environments, detect suspicious activity, and enforce safety policies while maintaining a visible presence. Answer phones, manage authorized access, and inspect fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with standards. Discuss violations with site representatives, prepare incident reports, and maintain required logs. Perform fire-fighting duties during emergencies and assist with drills. Train staff on emergency response plans and manage daily operations including scheduling and overtime. Requires State or municipality mandated security officer licenses and Fire Safety Directors license. Monday through Friday schedule with competitive hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- State or municipality mandated security officer licenses
- Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent
- Must have Fire Safety Directors license
- Knowledge of or ability to learn fire inspection operations, and procedures
- Must have reliable means of communication and transportation
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period
- Good organizations skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service environment
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize and problem solve
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- Previous contract security, law enforcement, fire department, military, customer service experience preferred
