Job Summary
Inspect, repair, test, adjust, and remove fire protection sprinkler systems while following pre-established guidelines. Select pipe types and sizes, then cut, thread, and hang pipe. Assist in installing valves, couplings, and fittings, and help lift, position, and secure materials during installation. Adhere to proper construction practices and company policy while multi-tasking with minimal supervision. Report to multiple job sites as assigned. Requires 6 months construction or fire protection experience, knowledge of power and hand tools, and ability to work in varying temperatures and confined spaces.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months construction or fire protection/sprinkler experience; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
- Knowledge of basic tools and materials
- Understands and practices the proper use of power and hand tools
- Possesses basic math and computation skills
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
- Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
- Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb

- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time

Desired Qualifications
- Sprinkler experience in a construction industry
- Ridgid 300 power machine (cutting and threading pipe) experience
- Prior military experience
