Job Summary
Read and interpret drawings to determine layout requirements for automatic fire suppression systems. Install clamps, brackets, and hangers to support piping, then connect the system to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, and control equipment. Test systems for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment and maintain appropriate documentation. Train and direct the day-to-day work of a Helper while performing other duties as assigned. Requires 2+ years of experience as a Sprinkler Fitter, ability to interpret blueprints, and knowledge of NFPA Standards. Available for multiple job sites with potential travel.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Sprinkler Fitter; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
- Ability to interpret blueprints and architectural drawings
- Knowledge of NFPA Standards
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
- Must be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned
- Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
