Fire Protection Engineer

Job Summary
Design and review wet and dry fire services systems for transport, buildings, and defence infrastructure across Australia with NSW focus; prepare and verify designs and calculations (manual or CAD); develop fire protection system specifications and reports; coordinate with clients and internal teams; leverage Revit MEP; aiming towards Chartered Professional Engineer status; based in Sydney and focusing on defence-infrastructure projects; strong emphasis on standards, NCC, and collaboration with the client and partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or Diploma of Fire Systems Design (CPC50520)
- Wet and Dry fire accreditation in NSW (e.g. FSD / FPAS accreditation, or C14 / C8 registered certifier)
- Design and document a range of wet and dry fire services systems
- Preparation of fire protection systems specifications
- Read and interpret Fire Engineering Briefs/Reports
- Thorough knowledge of relevant standards and NCC across Defence and infrastructure is advantageous
- Knowledge of engineering design processes for infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of Revit MEP is desirable
- On the career pathway to registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer
- Australian citizenship requirement for defence projects
