Job Summary
Fire Protection Engineer needed to provide consulting services for internal and external clients with a minimum of five years of experience. Responsibilities include designing automatic suppression systems, fire detection, alarm and mass notification systems; conducting code, egress, fire-resistant construction, and smoke-control analyses; performing research and documentation; leading internal teams to produce high-quality design sets; managing project profitability and client relationships; developing budgets and proposals; and participating in SFPE/NFPA trade organizations. Requires PE registration and strong written/verbal communication skills, plus the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) required
- Minimum five years of experience in fire protection engineering
- Experience designing suppression, detection, alarm and mass notification systems
- Ability to perform building and fire code analysis and interpretation
- Experience leading and coordinating internal teams and managing client communications
- Experience in business development and proposal writing
