Job Summary
Execute project design responsibilities for fire protection systems, including sizing and layout of equipment, piping, and hydraulic calculations. Create clearly labeled spool drawings for construction feasibility and pre-fabrication, while managing 2D/3D models in AutoCAD, AutoSPRINK, and other BIM software. Assist with system submittals, coordination with project management and field staff, and site surveys for new construction and retrofit projects. Process trade partner backgrounds, use Bluebeam for change coordination, and communicate constructability issues to the team. Manage time to meet project schedules and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Proficient basic computer software skills (Windows Explorer, Word, Excel, Gmail)
- Working knowledge and/or experience with BIM software such as AutoCAD and AutoSPRINK
- This is a non-exempt position from Monday through Friday
- Work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm
- Eight hours per day is required
- Other occasional overtime may be necessary for business needs
- The employee may regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

Desired Qualifications
