Job Summary
Lead fire and life safety operations across assigned Class A commercial sites by developing, implementing, and refining emergency response plans. Conduct regular fire drills, perform comprehensive safety inspections, and train staff while ensuring functionality and compliance of fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems. Coordinate with building management, tenants, and emergency agencies during crises, maintain detailed logs of safety activities and incident reports, and stay informed about NYC fire safety regulations. Act decisively as the primary safety contact during emergencies. Assist with general Security Officer duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- F-89 Certification (required; valid for at least 6 months beyond hire date)
- NYS Security Guard License (required; valid for at least 3 months beyond hire date)
- At least 2 years as a Fire & Life Safety Director in NYC commercial property
- Familiar with NYC fire safety codes and commercial building systems
- Strong decision-making, calm under pressure, and excellent communication abilities
- A friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with the public and stakeholders
- High School Diploma or GED
- NYS Security Guard License
- F-89
