Job Summary
Oversee fire safety operations for a Commercial Building in Columbus Circle, Manhattan, by managing the Fire Command Station, supervising the fire brigade, floor wardens, and evacuation supervisors. Act as the primary liaison to the NYC Fire Department during emergencies, ensuring all life safety systems and related equipment remain fully functional. Conduct fire alarm drills, maintain detailed logs of critiques to identify response weaknesses, and perform visual inspections of visitor and employee access badges to prevent unauthorized entry. Provide clear direction and assistance to clients, vendors, and employees during both routine operations and crisis situations while maintaining constant mental alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- F85 or F89 Certificate of Fitness (NY Only)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
- Ability to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
- Computer skills
- Ability to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
- Successful completion of a background investigation
- Post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test
- Current active status of all required License
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to adapt well to different situations
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard
- Neat and professional appearance
- Ability to provide quality customer service
- Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

- Licensed by the New York State Department of State
- Flexible Monday - Sunday
- Afternoon, Evening, and Overnight shifts
