Job Summary
As a Fire Investigator/Electrical Engineer, you will perform forensic investigations to establish the origin and cause of fires involving electrical components. Key duties include interviewing witnesses, conducting thorough inspections of various types of buildings and structures, and leading projects from inception to completion. Applicants must possess certifications such as CFEI, CFI, or CVFI and have a strong understanding of electrical forensic failure analysis and fire safety regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to support marketing efforts through client interaction and presentations are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum CFEI, CFI, or CVFI, or the ability to become certified is a must
- A strong background in fire investigation or equivalent work experience
- A strong understanding of the Fire Code
- Class G driver’s license or equivalent as recognized by Province of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Electrical Engineer designation
- Experience determining product design, defects, and electrical forensic failure analysis
- Experience within the insurance and legal industry
