Fire Inspector - Part Time - Waco

Job Summary
Position focused on enforcing fire and life safety codes through field inspections of occupancies, evaluating fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms, generators, elevators, etc.), and advising contractors on code compliance; requires knowledge of fire code, life safety standards, and strong communication and documentation skills. Responsibilities include conducting public demonstrations, responding to inquiries, maintaining inspection records, and contributing to amendments of local codes. Requires completion of HIPAA-related duties and adherence to regulatory inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver’s license or equivalent license issued from the state in which you currently reside.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle record check, previous employment check, and criminal background check.
- Must possess Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Fire Inspector Certificate .
- Preferred certs: Texas Commission on Fire Protection Plans Examiner, TCFP Basic Fire Marshal.
