Job Summary
Conduct routine daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of fire suppression and control systems within the Arconic facility. Respond to fire alarms, fires, and medical emergencies while performing drug and alcohol screenings on injured employees. Complete annual fire suppression system testing, manage Department of Homeland Security inventory, and remove lock-out/tag-out locks per procedures. Perform fire suppression system troubleshooting, diagnosis, minor repairs, and evaluate work areas for fire potential prior to hot work activities. Provide basic emergency care and support contractors as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Current paramedic or emergency medical technician advanced (EMT-A) certificate to practice professionally in Tennessee
- 2 years minimum Firefighter/ HazMat / EMS experience
- CPR and AED certification
- Knowledge of office equipment
- Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database)
- Knowledge of scope of practice according to State regulations
- Organizational skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly in a positive manner
- Ability to maintain a positive and open attitude to change
- Ability to be self-directed, motivated, to independently seek out resources and work collaboratively
